What Are The Three Levels In English Language Courses?

Learning is an ongoing or continuous process. And there are proper steps and levels to learn anything. Similarly, if you want to learn English, you cannot understand it overnight; you have to learn it step by step. You have to go through three levels to learn English speaking and writing. Each level in the English language courses involves two sub-levels.

So, if you are speaking English, make sure you are learning all three levels step by step which are as follows;

  1. Basic level –

The first level is the basic level of English language learning. When we start learning a new skill, course, or language, it is essential to learn the basics. Similarly, while learning to speak English language, make sure you have good knowledge of the basics of the English language. There are two sublevels in the basic level of the English language;

  • A1 (Beginner’s level)

In this level, you learn about everyday expressions, phrases, vocabulary, self-intro, basic conversation questions, etc. It will help you learn about the very basic concepts in English. 

  • A2 (Elementary level) –

You learn about fundamental and short sentences at the elementary level, about the family, job, shopping phrases, elementary vocabulary, etc. 

  1. Independent level –

When you have learned everything about the basic level of the English language, then you move further towards the second level, which is the intermediate level. Knowing this level properly makes you able to understand, write and speak English. The intermediate level of the English language includes the following sublevels;

  • B1 (Intermediate level) –

The intermediate level helps you learn the English concepts, complicated phrases, and sentence formation to speak English in front of others at different places such as work, school, college, markets, travel, hotels, etc.

B2 (Upper Intermediate level) –

This level increases the complexity in the intermediate level and makes you capable of using your own creative and innovative skills while writing or speaking in English. 

  1. Proficient level –

The proficiency level is the final level of the English language learning which makes you professional in speaking and writing English. The proficient level of English language learning includes the two sub-levels, which are as follows;

  • C1 (Advanced level) –

Here you learn the advanced level of the English language, which includes; a wide range of clauses, phrases, expressions, complex vocabulary, the structure of sentences, etc.

  • C2 ( Proficiency level)- 

It is the final stage where you have learned everything about the English language, and you are now fluent while speaking and writing in English. At this level, you have to work hard on your listening, writing, speaking, and reading skills to become a fluent English speaker. Here you become capable of expressing your thoughts and opinions about the different things in your own words. 

So, these are the basic levels of English language learning, and you have to complete all three levels to become a fluent English speaker. After that, you can enrol in different English language courses using online language learning apps. So, make sure you register for the basic and the other two levels. Do not skip any level or sub-level; otherwise, you miss various essential concepts and topics of the English language.
